La Fête de la Musique sera célébrée cette année le 23 juin à Hyde Park dans Kensington Gardens (près du Albert Memorial) sous le nom d’Exhibition Road Music Day.
Des concerts auront lieu gratuitement sur une scène extérieure de 14h à 20h représentant la musique des quatre coins du monde. Parmi les artistes français et francophones, se produiront Anne B,Grupo Lokito, ainsi qu’Imany en tête d'affiche.
Imany est l'une des rares mannequins à avoir réussi avec succès la transition entre podium et studio d'enregistrement. Après plusieurs années de voyages à travers le monde (dont une période de six ans aux États-Unis), elle est revenue en France pour poursuivre son ambition de toujours, devenir chanteuse.
Après avoir joué en première partie de Ben l'Oncle Soul et Angie Stone sur leurs tournées européennes, elle a sorti son premier album, mêlant folk et blues, en 2011. "The Shape of a Broken Heart" est déjà disque de platine en France, et est promis à un joli succès européen.
Installée depuis 2006 à Londres où elle a trouvé la liberté et la créativité nécessaires pour se faire un (pré)nom, Anne B crée des chansons qui combinent une vision typiquement française avec une saveur électro-pop acoustique. En 2008, Anne B s'est vu attribuer le prix ‘French Talent of the Year’ à Londres.
Grupo Lokito mélange, quant à eux, musique contemporaine congolaise et musique latine pour créer un cocktail moderne de ces deux genres musicaux. Le groupe s'est formé en 2006 autour de musiciens congolais, latinos et britanniques et a choisi de faire de Londres son pied-à-terre.
La programmation comprend également Femi Temowo (Niger), Heidi Vogel (Brésil) et Ska Cubano (Cuba).

Music from around the world will be celebrated this year in London on Saturday 23 June with Exhibition Road Music Day. This day-long free event will include an outdoor stage in Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, near the Albert Memorial, with free concerts from 2pm until dusk.
From 4pm til 7pm, French and French-speaking artists will be well represented with Anne B (France: chanson, pop), Grupo Lokito (Congo: rumba/salsa fusion), and among the highlights the platinum-selling French soul sensation IMANY (France: folk/soulful blues), on stage around 6pm.
IMANY, born Nadia Mladjao in 1979 in France, Imany, whose family roots are in the Comoros Islands, off the southeast coast of Africa, grew up in France, where she initially started out as a successful high jumper before being signed by the Ford Models Europe Agency.
After several years of traveling around the world, including a seven-year stint in the U.S., she returned to France to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a singer. Inspired by the likes of Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Tracy Chapman, she began performing a blend of acoustic folk and soulful blues under the guise of Imany (Swahili for "hope") in various Parisian nightclubs and jazz bars, before releasing her debut EP, Acoustic Sessions, in which she offers up a mixture of acoustic folk, heartfelt soul, and passionate blues.
After supporting Ben l'Oncle Soul and Angie Stone on their European tours, she worked with producer Malick N'Diaye (Ayo) on her debut album, 'The Shape of a Broken Heart', released in 2011. Since its release it went platinum in France and never been out of the French Top 50 album chart!
