Yamina Benguigui 

Yamina Benguigui est écrivain, productrice et réalisatrice. Elle revendique son statut de femme engagée, en utilisant la caméra comme une arme.

Elle mène aussi un combat politique à la Mairie de Paris, en tant que Maire Adjoint aux Droits de l'Homme et à la lutte contre les discriminations.

Yamina Benguigui is a writer, producer and film director. She is a militant woman and uses her video camera as  a weapon.

She is also involved in defending human rights, as the deputy Mayor for Human Rights, in Paris.

Claudie Haigneré 

Claudie Haigneré a embrassé plusieurs carrières. Médecin, chercheur, deux fois ministre, elle est aussi la première femme astronaute.

Elle préside aujourd’hui Univers Science, où elle s’engage pour inscrire la science au coeur de la culture.

Claudie Haigneré has had several careers. Doctor, researcher, minister twice and the most memorable of all - she was also the first French woman astronaut.

Today, she is chairing ''Univers Science'', which mission is to reposition science at the heart of the cultural debate.

Maud Fontenoy 

Maud Fontenoy est navigatrice, seule femme à avoir réussi la traversée de l’Atlantique à la rame, en solitaire.

Aujourd’hui, Maud Fontenoy se consacre à la protection de l’environnement, à travers les actions menées par la Fondation qui porte son nom. Elle est aussi porte-parole de la Commission Océanographique de l’Unesco.

Maud Fontenoy is a sailor, known to be the first woman to have achieved to row across the Atlantic without any assistance.

Today, Maud Fontenoy is involved in the Foundation she created, which mission is to protect the environment. She is also the spokesperson for the UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission.

Irène Frain 

Irène Frain est journaliste, romancière et historienne. Son terrain de combat est l'éco-citoyenneté, qu'elle défend au quotidien auprès des femmes dans le monde entier.

Elle est auteur des livres “La Forêt des 29” et “Gandhi, la liberté en marche”.

Irène Frain is a French journalist, writer and historian. She is involved in supporting eco-citizenship values, which she defends on a daily basis helping women around the world.

She is the author of acclaimed books such as “La Forêt des 29” and “Gandhi, la liberté en marche”.

Muriel de Saint Sauveur

Muriel de Saint Sauveur est la directrice de la Diversité, au sein du groupe international d'audit et de conseil Mazars. Elle vient de publier "Un monde au féminin serait-il meilleur ?”, qui livre ses entretiens avec 100 femmes du monde entier.

Muriel de Saint Sauveur is the director of Diversity at Mazars, the international audit group. She just released 'Un monde au féminin serait-il meilleur ?' (Would a feminine world be better?) which uncovers her interviews with 100 women around he world.

Euzhan Palcy

Euzhan Palcy est martiniquaise. Elle est la réalisatrice, entre autres, de Rue Cases-Nègres, son premier film, qui a reçu de nombreux prix en France et à l’international.

Première femme noire à avoir été produite par la MGM, elle a convaincu Marlon Brando de revenir au cinéma pour son film sur l'apartheid, Une Saison Blanche et Sèche. Elle évoque pour FRL son enfance et comment est née sa rage cinématographique.

Euzhan Palcy is born in Martinique. She directed the international award-winning Rue Casses-Nègres, her first movie.

First Black woman to have been produced by MGM, she convinced Marlon Brandoto to return to the screen for her film on Apartheid called Une Saison Blanche et Sèche (A Dry White Season). She talks to FRL about her childhood and her drive for cinema.  

Lucia Iraci

Lucia Iraci n'est pas une coiffeuse comme les autres. Un parcours cahotique, un métier qu’elle réfute pour mieux s’y retrouver en tant que coiffeuse de studio, elle a travaillé et côtoyé les plus grands photographes de mode.

Un jour, elle décide de se poser et crée Joséphine, le premier Salon Social, pour rendre aux femmes défavorisées, la beauté dont elles ont besoin pour retrouver confiance en elles. Elle nous parle de son étonnant parcours et de son engagement.

Lucia Iraci is definitely not your normal hairdresser. Despite a chaotic journey, she became a renowned studio hairdresser, working with some of the most famous fashion photographers.

One day she decided to stop and 'give back'. She founded Joséphine, the first social beauty salon, offering disadvantaged women beauty treatments and counselling, helping them to become confident and self-believers again. She speaks of her amazing career and commitment.
